Consumer Health Reference Guide
I developed a best-practice guide for considering health disparities in consumer health reference interviews. I created a presentation based on a hypothetical reference scenario in the field of consumer health librarianship. The topic explores how LIS reference services encompass diverse and global environments, where a culture of professionalism should always be prioritized.
My clinical librarian internship at the Sarasota Memorial Medical Library has been instrumental in merging the knowledge gained throughout my LIS studies with contemporary practices in medical librarianship. Prominent contributions include ensuring evidence-based medicine e-resources, developing UX components of the website, and providing visual analytics services. Moreover, this position has allowed me to publish numerous subject guides in areas of scholarly communication, infectious disease, and oncology.
